The name of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (“the CIO”) is:

The Society for Radiological Protection Benevolent Fund (known as “the SRP Benevolent Fund” or “SRP BF” in short form) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered in England and Wales with the Charity Commission. Our registration was achieved on 22 March 2017 and our number is 1172201.

As a registered charity, we have a defined object. This is:

“to provide for the financial relief of hardship normally by the making of financial grants amongst those who are, or who have been, members of the Society for Radiological Protection, their dependents, and those who are not members of the Society but who work, or have worked, in radiological protection.  Such non-members would also include their dependents”.

We are a separate legal entity from the Society for Radiological Protection (SRP), but we are closely associated with it.
